1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, upload photos, or contact us for support.
- Account information (email, name)
- Usage data and analytics
- Communication records when you contact support
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our photo matching services
- Process your photos using facial recognition technology
- Communicate with you about your account and services
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Photo Processing and Facial Recognition
Our service uses advanced facial recognition technology to match faces in photos. Here’s how we handle your biometric data:
- All facial analysis (detection, landmark extraction, liveness and anti‑spoof checks, descriptor computation) runs locally in your browser – raw camera frames are not uploaded to our servers.
- We now use a dual‑view capture flow (front + side profile). The front view requires a subtle natural head turn; the side view is auto‑captured once a stable profile is detected.
- Side profile capture is automatic after a short stability streak (no manual click needed) to reduce user friction and prevent accidental movement distortions.
- Only the two still images you explicitly capture (or that are auto‑captured for the side view) are used transiently in the current matching session.
- Facial embeddings (mathematical feature vectors) are created in‑memory only for comparison and are immediately discarded after matching; we do not persist biometric templates.
- Anti‑spoof / liveness heuristics we apply locally may include: head turn / parallax, motion variance, landmark micro‑movement, brightness & flicker consistency, screen border / edge artifact detection, and reflective highlight drift. These signals are evaluated as simple numeric scores and are not stored after the session.
- If sufficient spoof indicators are detected, capture is blocked client‑side; no additional data is transmitted.
- Original event photos remain solely in the connected storage under the photographer’s control; we access them only as needed for on‑the‑fly descriptor comparison.
- No continuous video stream is stored. Once you close the capture modal or finish the session, the active media stream is stopped.
- All processing is designed to minimize data exposure and align with applicable biometric privacy principles.
Important Notes:
- You can abandon capture at any time; doing so stops the camera immediately.
- Liveness scoring is heuristic (no medical or identity guarantee) and is intended purely to reduce obvious spoof attempts (e.g. holding up a static screen photo).
- We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize biometric data because we never retain it.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information:
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- Regular security audits and updates
- Secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to provide our functionality:
- Google Drive for photo storage and access
- Payment processors for subscription management
- Analytics services to improve our platform
- Cloud hosting providers for infrastructure
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
7. Data Retention
We have strict data retention policies to protect your privacy:
- Facial embeddings: Created temporarily during matching and immediately discarded – never stored
- Match results: Automatically deleted after 30 days for privacy protection
- Account data: Retained only while your account is active and as required by law
- Photos: Remain in the storage under photographer’s control – we do not store copies
- You can request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time
8. Children’s Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
